Thrift Store Find?

I was seriously thinking of buying this, as I really wanted two new lamps, but I just could not bring myself to cut off the legs to do so. I guess I Ralphie's dad would not be proud of me, but Dexter sure would like the idea.

Yes, it actually was displayed and for sale..disappeared the next day
